Teaching Bio
As a private music Teacher
Since 2017, I have taught Voice & Beginning Piano to students of all ages (4 to seniors).
I taught through San Marino Music Center in person at the Huntington location from 2017 to 2019, and online through their Mission location from 2021 to 2022, through Encore School of Music from 2019 to 2022, and through www.TakeLessons.com from 2020 to 2024.
Now, I'm available to teach through https://www.superprof.com/ & rachelschlenzteaches@gmail.com (2023 to present).
My philosophy is to adapt the lesson to each student. My system is to teach healthy vocal and/or piano techniques first. I start by asking what brought the student to lessons, what kind of music they're interested in, and what they would like to learn. I then incorporate their responses into the lessons. Overall, my goal for every student is to come out of lessons knowing as much as possible, so they can be as prepared as possible for their future endeavors in music.
As a tutor
I'm a part of The National Society of Leadership and Success.
I'm an English Language Arts Tutor. I love to read and analyze poems and books, I'm familiar with proper essay formats, including works cited pages. I love to edit essays! :)
I love helping students with their homework!
I'm looking forward to adding more subjects to my repertoire!
